We are pleased to invite you to our first Annual General Meeting — to be held October 27th, starting at 7pm, in the Community Room at Save-On-Foods North (1112 – 2 Avenue A, North).
You may be aware that organisations with a membership have a legal responsibility to hold Annual General Meetings (AGMs). There are statutory requirements for what an AGM has to include. However, an AGM is also a great opportunity to share and celebrate all that has been achieved over the past year with your members and supporters. Even with this being our first AGM, with only a few months in existence, we have lots to celebrate and share with you, including our 3-Year Strategic Plan.
We also want to take this time to say thank you to members and supporters, and raise awareness about the Council of Lethbridge Neighbourhoods and our work to a wider audience. Our members and supporters have been a great asset to our development and they deserve much gratitude. We also hope to garner more support and create partnerships that will help us generate greater organizational capacity, toward meeting our goals.
As an addition to the experience, we will be hosting a guest speaker that will provide insight and guidance to the successful and effective development of neighbourhood associations and their contribution to the healthy development of engaged, safe, welcoming and inclusive communities.
To conclude the evening, there will be an opportunity for you to connect and network with others in the community who share a vested interest in community development and neighbourhood organizing. Light snacks and refreshments will be provided.
